We began with an analysis of IMD’s sites and their competitors, examining how other firms communicate with their target groups. These findings were discussed during a strategic workshop. We also analyzed related industries like banking and consulting to refine a header concept that could accommodate multiple high-priority items.
During prototyping, we developed two sets of wireframes (desktop and mobile) that served as the foundation for the law firm web design. The goal was a single, cohesive visual system adapted for both Solicitors and Corporate brands.
Existing content, including services, photos, and documents, was then meticulously migrated. This process included standardizing formatting, optimizing headers, and maintaining a solid URL structure to ensure a seamless transition for both users and search engines.
The launch of the new IMD platform was a complete operational and branding success. By using a WordPress Multisite architecture, the firm gained a central management system that reduced content update time by over 80%.
From a business perspective, the new IMD law firm website achieved:
- Faster page load times and improved Google PageSpeed scores: Technical optimization eliminated previous errors, resulting in lightning-fast performance across mobile and desktop.
- Increased user engagement: Improved UX and Core Web Vitals led to a lower bounce rate and easier access to contact forms.
- Maintained and strengthened SEO positions: Despite the scale of migrating 12 language versions, precise redirects and structural optimization allowed the firm to keep its rankings and build stronger authority in international search results.
- Global branding consistency: Both brands now present a modern, professional image, increasing trust among both corporate and individual clients.
The result of our work is a high-performance, scalable tool that simplifies daily operations for the IMD team and provides a solid foundation for further international growth.
