The Galicia Jewish Museum is a unique partner for us. Literally and figuratively – our offices in Krakow’s Kazimierz district are just a short walk away through historic streets. We have supported their digital growth for years, but this time we faced a total challenge: redesigning the very heart of their online communication. We created a platform that blends the prestige of a cultural institution with the dynamics of modern e-commerce..

The goal was complete digital transformation. We wanted to create a space that not only tells the story of the Museum’s mission but also serves as a powerful business tool. The key was to provide users with “Peace of Mind” during ticket purchases and donations, while giving Museum staff an intuitive content management tool that requires no coding knowledge.

The Client about the project

Ishbel Szatrawska

Graphic Designer, Galicia Jewish Museum

“Brave New, in our opinion, has amazing programming skills."

Brave New's work increased the client's website administration efficiency by up to 50% and event ticket sales by approximately 60%. The team consistently met deadlines, communicated effectively, and addressed all of the client's issues. Their programming skills were outstanding.

The challenge: Moving beyond the old website formula

The old website no longer reflected the scale of the Museum’s activities. We had to tackle fragmented information that made accessing tickets difficult, along with manual order processing that consumed too much of the team’s time. The ultimate test, however, was the secure migration of data – moving over 400 products without a single second of sales downtime.

Digital foundations: Solutions powering the Museum

  • Proprietary BerkaWP Engine (Gutenberg + ACF)

The site was built on our in-house framework, eliminating technical chaos and the limitations of off-the-shelf templates. The Museum team gained a tool for lightning-fast content editing that is so intuitive that managing updates doesn't require a single line of code.
  • Dynamic Events Schedule

We designed a clear and intelligent calendar that serves as the hub for interaction with Museum guests. Visitors can filter exhibitions and workshops in seconds, while the system automatically handles the seamless presentation of events in both language versions.
  • E-commerce Without Barriers (Apaczka.pl + PayPal)

We implemented an advanced e-commerce module that handles all the tedious logistics. Thanks to full integration with the Apaczka.pl system and PayPal payments, the process from purchasing a souvenir to generating a shipping label is almost entirely hands-off.
  • Mission Funding and Ticketing

We supported both the social and business sides of the Museum through integration with the Ekobilet system and a dedicated donation module. Users can support the institution or buy a ticket in just three steps, which directly translates into higher conversion rates and financial stability for the NGO.
  • Accessibility and Global Reach

We implemented full support for two language versions, crucial for the international character of the Galicia Jewish Museum. The entire project was optimized for Accessibility, ensuring the Museum’s cultural offerings are open to every visitor, without exception.

Workshops, wireframes, and code: How we built this success

We started with strategic workshops to understand the needs of every part of the Museum. We then mapped out user journeys on UX/UI wireframes, making sure that anyone landing on the website — whether buying a ticket or making a donation — would always know exactly what to do next without hesitation. After the design phase, we moved into robust development, testing, and final deployment, taking care that subtle animations would add a sense of modernity to the site without distracting from the content.

Collaboration with the Galicia Jewish Museum delivered measurable results that go far beyond aesthetics. The biggest operational success was the flawless migration of over 400 products to the new e-commerce system, carried out with full continuity of sales.

The implemented logistics integrations made the entire order process fully automated. Users click “Buy now”, complete the payment, and the system automatically generates a shipping label and forwards everything for fulfilment. As a result, manual handling was reduced to a minimum, significantly lowering operational costs.

With the implementation of our proprietary BerkaWP solution, we were able to resolve existing technical issues and greatly simplify content management. The website is now fast and intuitive to manage, allowing the Museum’s team to independently make updates without developer support.

As a result, the institution gained a modern, international standard of digital communication that not only strengthens its global presence, but above all actively supports its mission and long-term goals.
